About Design KG026
KG026 is a premium pre-designed wrap layout built specifically for the 2025-2026 Can-Am Maverick R MAX 4-seat platform. The design uses aggressive race-inspired line work that flows naturally with the R MAX bodywork from front fenders all the way through the extended cab and rear panels. Every cut is templated from OEM Can-Am body panels - no trimming, no guessing, no overlap. Sport, X rs, and Smart-Shox 4-seat trims all share the same body panels and use the same kit.
Roof Wrap - Add-On Upgrade
The base KG026 kit covers all major exterior body panels but does not include the roof. Matching roof wrap is available as a +$300 upgrade - select the roof variant when ordering, or contact us before checkout to have it added. The roof upgrade includes templated coverage for both hard top and canvas configurations, designed to match the KG026 body layout for a complete unified look.
The Substance Material Stack
Every KG026 kit is built on a 21mil laminated stack using two race-proven Substance Incorporated products: Ultracurve® X1 print media bonded under Ultracurve® 1500 overlaminate. Both products are USA-made and were co-developed with Star Racing Yamaha and Monster Energy Kawasaki for the demands of professional motocross.
The print media - Ultracurve X1 (152 micron / 6 mil): A revolutionary flexible polymeric vinyl with proprietary FLO Technology for bubble-free installation, backed by an ultra-aggressive solvent-based pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive engineered specifically for the low surface energy plastics found on UTVs, ATVs, and motocross machines. Peel adhesion measures 35N/25mm - more than double typical high-tack adhesives.
The overlaminate - Ultracurve 1500 (381 micron / 15 mil): A 15mil clear vinyl overlaminate offering 336N/25mm tensile strength, unmatched gloss and clarity, and industry-leading abrasion resistance. The same overlaminate seen on Eli Tomac's Monster Energy KX450F at the Monster Energy Cup.
This material spec costs significantly more per square foot than generic 3M cast vinyl - but on a $40,000+ flagship UTV like the R MAX, it's worth it. Substance holds tighter to R-platform plastics, resists lifting at door edges and fender corners, survives mud, sand, water crossings, and pressure washing, and looks newer longer.
DIY Installation
Most R MAX owners install KG026 in 5 to 10 hours with the body panels removed and a clean workspace. The 4-seat chassis takes longer than 2-seat machines because of additional door panels and extended bedwork. Tools needed: heat gun, felt-edged squeegee, isopropyl alcohol at 90% or higher, clean microfiber towels, sharp utility knife, and patience. Detailed step-by-step instructions are included with every kit. Professional install from a vinyl wrap shop typically runs 4-6 hours and $400-$900 depending on your area.
Care & Lifespan
Treated right, KG026 lasts 3 to 5+ years under normal trail riding. Wash gently with mild soap and low-pressure water. Keep pressure washer wands at least 12 inches from the surface. Avoid harsh chemicals like degreasers, brake cleaner, or gasoline near the graphics. Store the R MAX out of direct sun when possible to extend wrap life.
