The Generation 1 YFZ450 Platform

The 2004-2008 first-generation YFZ450 is an iconic sport ATV. Yamaha's answer to the Honda 400EX, the Suzuki LTZ400, and the Kawasaki KFX450 — and arguably the platform that defined the modern 450cc sport quad class. The plastic geometry is consistent across all five model years (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008), so a single template covers the full first-generation production run. The 2009+ second-generation YFZ450 has different bodywork — that platform uses our 2009-2013 YFZ450 Vector Template.
